Branch Manager Job Purpose
The Branch Manager will be responsible for managing the overall administration, operations, marketing, lending, and security functions of the branch. The successful candidate will also develop strong relationships with existing customers, identify new business opportunities, increase the branch’s market share, and ensure excellent customer service.
The Branch Manager will lead and motivate branch staff to achieve assigned financial and business targets while ensuring compliance with the bank’s SOPs, AML/CDD policies, AML/CFT regulations, and other applicable banking requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Area Manager in developing branch business plans and strategies for business growth.
- Monitor branch objectives and targets and prepare action plans to achieve assigned goals.
- Ensure achievement of financial targets, particularly current accounts and total deposits.
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and clients.
- Increase the branch customer base by acquiring new accounts and business relationships.
- Ensure high-quality customer service and promptly address customer queries and complaints.
- Manage the administrative and operational activities of the branch.
- Review account opening forms and supporting documents and ensure proper documentation.
- Ensure KYC requirements and customer due diligence procedures are properly followed.
- Identify operational gaps and provide feedback to improve systems, procedures, and service quality.
- Coordinate staff training, workload assessment, motivation, retention, and other HR-related matters.
- Generate profitable new business according to the regional marketing strategy.
- Achieve assigned advances, trade, guarantees, consumer, Banca, deposit, and other KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with TBML framework requirements and AML/CDD policies.
- Guide branch staff in implementing effective internal controls.
- Ensure updated policies, manuals, and circulars are properly followed.
- Conduct proper Due Diligence (DD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) where required.
- Review audit findings and ensure timely rectification of identified non-compliances.
- Monitor branch expenses and take steps to improve branch profitability.
- Maintain branch security and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Eligibility Criteria for Askari Bank Branch Manager Jobs
